GB64 Recommended Games...

Deflektor
Steve says: Still puzzling, still great fun and still a great soundtrack!

Breakdown
Neo-Rio says: This game was a great little shooter/platformer than once graced the font cover-tape of the legendary Zzap! magazine

Space Taxi
Michael Plate says: One of the first games using a digitized voice. The simple but addicting game idea was used for different remakes on other platforms.

Hagar the Horrible
Neo-Rio says: This console-esque platformer came along late in the C64's life, but it was really a great game to play, with cameo appearances from other Hagar characters. Collect as much treasure for Helga as you can!

Cavelon II
Neo-Rio says: Addictive! Somehow by collecting pieces of a broken door, you can use it to escape to the next level (what the...?). Get Excaliba and hunt your enemies on a duck! (didn't steal that idea from Jouste, did they?).

Shogun
Neo-Rio says: Pick one of the characters and try and influence all the other characters to be on your side. Once you do that, you are Shogun! Based on the classic novel.

Bard's Tale III, The - Thief of Fate
Michael Plate says: This was the first RPG which really fascinated me. I wasn't able to stop playing this addicting game before finishing it.

Hook
Neo-Rio says: This is a film-license adaption, and a really spiffy one it is too. Very console-esque and playable, especially for younger players.

Dropzone
Mayhem says: Utterly superb shooter based on Stargate by Archer Maclean. If you can't beat it, copy it!
