Ballblazer
Steve says: cool game with great sound (check out the Romeo Knight feat. Beastie Boys Remix of the tune on remix.kwed.org)

River Raid
Neo-Rio says: If there was one game worth playing on the Atari 2600 even today, it would be this game. Fortunately, there is a C64 version of the ever so playable shoot'em up, and this is it.
|
IK+
Pugsy says: The ultimate c64 fighting game, simply a masterpiece!
|
Captain Blood
Neo-Rio says: This space adventure game has this feature where you can talk to characters about things using a symbolic language.
|
Galax-i-Birds
Neo-Rio says: A simple game plagued by crazy-sprite-o-rama. Yep, it's that oldskool game design technique where every new level gives you something weird to shoot at. Fortunately the music is fun and randomly generated. Jeff Minter would be proud.
|
Trailblazer
Jimbo says: Addictive "conveyor-belt" racing at its best! Try to roll/bounce your ball along each level whilst avoiding the holes and nasty coloured squares. The 2-player simultaneous mode is great fun!
|
Mission Elevator
Neo-Rio says: Elevator Action this is not, but a rather spiffy action adventure game in similar style. Get to the top of the hotel and diffuse the bomb, collecting the code and emergency exit keys on the way up.
|
Pitstop II
Neo-Rio says: Anyone who was anyone with a Commodore 64 had this game back in the day. Probably the first implementation of head-to-head displays on a computer game. Classic two player race duelling!
|
Choplifter
Pugsy says: One of the first great games on the C64, and one of the few home computer games to get converted to the arcade.
